The state-of-the-art facility is situated on a 150-acre campus at Tel Hashomer, on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, and compromises 159 medical departments and clinics, 1,700 beds, and an additional 33 laboratories. The Sheba Medical Center is internationally recognized for its achievements in clinical excellence, as well as in the application and conduct medical research. Sheba was the first hospital in Israel to be awarded the Joint Commission International Gold Seal. As a high-end medical center, it is the largest one in the Middle East and works collaterally with other world renowned medical institutions.
